Project Description

Discarded T-Shirts

Director: ETHAN KNECHT

In Discarded T-shirts, a quirky, comedic essay film, the journey of searching for love is humorously paralleled with the process of sorting through an overflowing closet of old T-shirts. Each shirt symbolizes a different version of oneself—former interests, identities, and failed relationships—now discarded or fading. As the protagonist sifts through their wardrobe, they grapple with which parts of their past to keep and which to let go. Through witty commentary and a series of laugh-out-loud moments, the film explores how shedding old personas can be both freeing and awkward, and how ultimately, it’s about finding the perfect fit—both in life and in love.
